3,500 Local Hospital Workers Vote to Strike

About 3,500 members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Minnesota voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to strike.  After two days of voting, 91 percent supported the strike option.

If the union calls a 2-5 day strike it would affect:

-Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina
-Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis

Date, Location Set for 2013 Governor's Fishing Opener

With the 2012 fishing opener in the books, organizer will start looking to next year's Governor's Fishing Opener.

A date and location has already been set. It will be held May 10-11 in the Park Rapids area, in northwestern Minnesota.
