Spend an MEA Day on the Farm

Need a place to send your little one during MEA weekend?

The Three Rivers Park District is offering kids kindergarten-age or older a day on their farm.

Kids can meet farm animals, make a snack, and create a wool keepsake to bring home.

Lowry Nature Center staff is also guiding hikes on the Gale Woods Farm's trails to look for insects.

Student Summer Stock Presents 'Chicago'

Kids from across the western suburbs are working together to put on a performance of the musical "Chicago" next week.

The Minnetonka Theater pulled together students from Minnetonka High School as well as students from Hopkins, Bloomington, Orono and Eden Prairie for the theater's "Student Summer Stock," a "high-energy, theatrical 'boot camp' for high school actors."

An organization of male teachers in Waconia is hosting a 5K Run in order to raise money to buy school supplies for students who can't afford them.

The teacher organization Men of the Chalk (MOTC) is hosting the Family Fun Day 5K on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at Bayview Elementary.

Storytelling to Teach Kids About Bullying

Many kids experience bullying in one way or another. Carver County Libraries are using storytelling to teach kids to stand up to bullying.

The program "Connecting Through Stories" is this Saturday, March 19 at both the Chaska and Chanhassen locations.
